If anyone in the continental US was interested in purchasing my Series-E zoom lenses that I have extensively reviewed, I now have listed all three on eBay. This is the site that I have done literally all of my used lens transactions, both buying and selling. I have yet to run into any real problems, as the buyer protection policy is superb for deterring scammers. I enjoyed all three lenses in varying degrees, but the two telephoto zooms in particular were optically superb. The only reason I’m selling the entire set is that I am a prime guy, and have faster prime lenses that cover all these focal lengths. Here are some links if interested:

Nikon 75-150mm f/3.5 Series-E (Review)– (UPDATE: SOLD)

Have a great week guys and gals, looking forward to writing my weekend update already. 🙂
Hi Matt, thank you very much for your informative articles. I use the NEX 5N and I am drawn to the the NEX7 or 6 as a second body. What selection of primes would you consider to be ideal for these cameras? Thanks
Hey Peter, glad you’re getting useful info here. 🙂
If I had to choose three essential primes for my style of shooting on the NEX-7, it’d have to be the Nikon 105mm f/1.8 AI-s, the Nikon 180mm f/2.8 AI-s ED (if you love telephotos), and a close tie between the Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS and Nikon 50mm f/1.8 Series-E.
However, if you were speaking of only autofocus lenses, my ideal set would probably be the 35mm f/1.8 OSS and 50mm f/1.8 OSS. I would say also an 85mm f/1.8, but it unfortunately doesn’t exist yet. Instead, Sony just announced an overpriced (subjective, of course) 20mm pancake. 😦
Hi Matt,
Your prompt reply is very much appreciated. The Sony OSS lenses are tempting but I think I will first try my hand with a Nikon 50mm and use the focus peaking which I have found very helpful. I tend to use the DMF mode quite a lot. So far I only have the kit lens and the 55-210 zoom.
Great! It’s a good and cheap lens, that Series-E. It’s worth every penny. 😀
