As promised, here is the last set from my weekend Renaissance fair outing. It turned out to be a lot more fun than I was expecting, and the people (and things) there were very interesting to photograph. The themes for set one and two were interesting people and things, respectively. This last theme really is just miscellaneous, as they don’t all fit into a specific category. Regardless, they’re worth sharing. 🙂
All of the following taken with the Nikon 100mm f/2.8 and NEX-7.
Before…
and after… 🙂
Well that’s it for my experiences at the Renaissance fair. Conditions for taking pictures (and being out there) were pretty rough, no thanks to the harsh sunlight and heat. However, with a little editing in LR 4, the dynamic range of the NEX-7’s sensor helped save many shots from the cull list (single-shot HDR, anyone?). This range really has made more types of shots possible (after a bit of editing) without any real image OR pixel degradation. A happy camper here, for sure. 🙂
Thanks for dropping by guys and gals, have a great day. Still working on the 100mm f/2.8 review, will hopefully have that ready by weekend’s end.
nice shots! I haven’t been to a renaissance fair in over 20 years but I do remember having a great time when I was there!
Thanks! I thought it was going to be cheesy and boring. Though there was a fair amount of cheese, all of it was in good fun. Definitely looking forward to next year (and an overcast day for better light…maybe?).
Nice shots!
Thank you! 🙂
Love that Fire!
Thank you Lisa. 🙂
