As promised, seen below is a set of four of my favorite “general” photos I have taken over the past month with my NEX-7 (and various lenses). No formal write-up here, just some good ‘ole pictures to enjoy. To see each picture full size, you’re just click away.
A little bit of street photography:
Pepper that in with a nice old tree landscape:
A nice plum-tree outcrop with a sunset bokeh (white balance altered for this shot). Focus point on the left of the frame.
And finally, to leave you all, a long-exposure shot at night with a monopod focused on a girl practicing Poi with LED lights. Would’ve have done a little better with a tripod, but hey, can’t have everything.
That’s all for this post folks, thanks for looking. If you want to be updated on future posts from this blog, please follow me, or sign up for e-mail notifications. And as always, have a great day.

The first one is definitely MY favorite!! Very casual and yet poised shot of a stranger…
(by the way, why go with nikon glass if you plan on using just the NEX-7?! I’d def. sell them and get the CZ 24mm f/1.8 and adapter ring for tele-lenses)
Thanks Ali, he was on smoke break, and he was just bursting with character on that day, the jacket is probably what helped.
Reason I use Nikon glass is
A. Cheap (as well as the fact the Zeiss is now $1100…wow)
B. Manual focus feels beautiful, and is insanely faster (and more accurate) than on a DSLR thanks to focus peaking and magnification.
C. All my lenses outresolve the sensor, thankfully.
D. I need them for sports. No way that 24mm could take sports.
All that said, I plan on acquiring the rumored 35mm f/1.8 and/or the G standard zoom once it comes out for the e-mount. Should be much cheaper than $1100, even both combined.
